Wow. Everyone's having or have had babies recently. They're all adorable and squishy and sweet and sometimes I miss having a newborn around. But then my 2 boys start wailing and whaling on each other or on something else equally breakable and then I remember why I'm not pregnant right now. I started having kids earlier than a lot of you and now you're all passing me by. Mighty, you haven't left the non-pregers club yet, right? If anyone can tell me how to guarantee the next one's a girl I'd be more than willing to jump on the baby bandwagon. Plus, I just really want to know what a daughter of ours would look like. With the older brothers she'd be following, she'd have to be adorable.
Here's a pic of the boys and their cousin Keilani at the Chicago Zoo.

more pammy
Thank You Pammy!
we just had to say our goodbyes to pammy. she was a perfect helper/doula/mom/friend/grammy/babysitter/chef. we totally appreciated every minute of having her here and all of her help. we miss her so much already. just to make sure we would miss her, this morning before she left she washed the sheets and towels, washed out the tie-dye she dyed for us, made us breakfast, babysat bo so i could sleep in and all while getting her stuff packed up. i hope she has a safe flight back and we are counting the days until we see her again. hopefully soon!

Just the 3 of us
I have 2 weeks to go before my due date. In the meantime Chris is out of school and I finished teaching, so we're enjoying each others company (and the amazing weather) as much as possible.
My sweet friend Gail took some family pictures of us yesterday at natural bridges. She's an aspiring photographer and would appreciate any comments or suggestions you might have. She put up more pictures of us on her blog. Please visit her blog so you can leave her a comment. She would really appreciate it.
xoxo

Enzo
he hasn't called me mom for a while now, maybe a month or two. I miss it. He only calls me leao lion and Christian Monstro de Cobra, monster snake. For the last couple days he's been calling me minha querida, my dear.
This morning he ran up to me gave me a big hug and said "my dear you are so big and so cute"

Slip n slide fun
sorry this is a little late. minami's party was a lot of fun and I just wanted to show you how much fun it was!
Monday, August 17, 2009
It's almost 2:00am and I can't sleep because Christian is gone. He and Enzo are in Sacramento enjoying Jesse and Bekah and the girls before they travel to the other side of the country. I had to stay behind and work (yuck!).
I did get to enjoy them for 2 full days.
It's easy to enjoy M and G.
Have fun in Maine!

Baby Shower
My friends, Melissa and Ruth, had been bugging me about a baby shower for a while. I was absolutly against the idea considering how much stuff I already have and my quest to make room for my mom and Iris. I have a harder time getting rid of stuff if people give me new things, things they spend money on, things that I would never buy myself. So I asked them not to throw me a baby shower but they did anyway.
They asked all the guests to only bring me one present and the item had to be something used that I could in turn pass along.
I was so touched by everyones gift. One sister in the ward found this really cool fabric at the Salvation Army store and made this adorable Kimono with matching pants.

Another sister in the ward had this white blessing dress that she bought years ago for her future granddaughter. She ended up only having grandsons so she gave me this vintage lace blessing/baby baptism dress.
It's exactly the kind of dress I was looking for.
Instead of playing baby shower games we each made our own spring rolls.
There were 5 different types of currys and the decoration consisted of fresh flowers and fresh herbs.
I had such a good time. I feel so blessed to have friends who know me well and put up with my quirks.
