25 years and counting...

David and I celebrated our 25th wedding anniversary this month. I can't imagine my life without him. He is a wonderful husband. I had no idea when I married him what an amazing family I was joining. I just wanted to say thanks for the many years of love and good times. I love you all more than I can say.
This is a picture of us from our anniversary weekend. (It's really not flattering of me at all, but it documents the day nonetheless.) I talked David into driving down to San Francisco and seeing "Wicked". He liked it so much, he fell asleep before the first act was over. He definitely scored points for being willing to go.
We were hoping to go to Italy or Greece to celebrate but schedules and budget didn't allow it. Maybe next summer?
I didn't post anything earlier because of all the awesome baby posts. I didn't want to "bump" any of those beautiful babes. Please keep them coming!

an update

In case you don't keep up with all my 50 blogs here is an update on the fam.

The picture above is for Pammy more than anyone. She spent a lot of time helping me organize and reorganize during her visit (I love you Pammy). My mom is coming on Thursday and I am trying to make Enzo's room more user friendly for her and Enzo. He now has a loft bed and we found this other twin bed on the street. I made a day bed out of it. I finally like the way Enzo's room looks, at least for now.

I spend my days organizing a lot. It's more for my sanity than for actual results because as you can imagine living in a small space with 4 (soon going to be 5) people is no easy task.

I've been feeling great and I am thankful every day for it. I know I've said this a million times but not having postpartum depression is a whole different experience. Maybe I will have 10 kids after all.

Maria Aurea is a joy. She is so sweet and so patient. I am running around all day with her and Enzo and she doesn't seem to mind. This is a picture of her doing tummy time. She hates tummy time so she ends up falling asleep on her tummy. She loves sleeping on her tummy.

Enzo is great and smart and sweet and angry and defiant and nice and everything all at once. But my favorite thing about Enzo is that when I ask him to throw away the baby's diaper he says "yes, please."

I don't have any pictures of Christian because I never see him. Today he is sending off an application to a  a big grant. On Tuesday he is sending off another. Last night he came to bed at 1:30am and woke up at 6:00. I can't wait to get my husband back. Until then, I love him from afar.

The weather is lovely and we play outside a lot. I'm also back on my feet cooking. I started cooking for food not bombs and also started a new blog with mariko called The Little Foodie. We got over 30 meals from friends when Maria was born and our freezer is still full but I was ready to start cooking again.

life is good.
I'd love to hear updates from you guys.
How is life going for you these days?

open studios

Open studios was this weekend. Musi is doing some amazing work with copper these days. Her booth is total eye candy.

Musi came to the hospital when Maria Aurea was born but we hadn't seen vanessa for a while so we mostly hung out with her. She loves babies and is super good with them. I wish she lived closer. Her work is equally impressive, the battery died before I had a chance to take any pictures. Here is her website if you want to check it out.

loving my kids

Enzo: when i grow up I want to marry you and papai
me: that won't work because you're our son
Enzo: O.K then I'll marry Shelly and Steve

Maria Aurea stares at her tie-dyes for LONG periods of time. Who needs baby Einstein when you have tie-dyes?

who is who?

two really unflattering pictures of our children. Can you tell which one is Enzo and which one is Maria Aurea?
