Happy Birthday Steve!

I am way too lazy to make a comprehensive list of all the things I like about Steve. But here's the short list with a few examples:

1. He's a good sport--driving around Brooklyn looking for a phone store to help me with Amy's phone ("renavigating. . .") without getting grouchy like 99.9% of all men would, reading in the car while I follow Shelley around the swap, driving me to Oakland airport in early morning traffic, emailing people about Mike's painting, etc. etc. etc.
2. He's super handy and looks for things to fix--I'm not even going to start on this list.
3. He seems to like us okay in spite of our klutziness--as evidenced by the fact that he keeps coming back, making good will rounds to Mom's, Colleen's, my house, etc .
4. He's handsome and suave (Shelley's right) and a fabulous and healthy cook (I love all the colors and textures, the abundance of vegeys--I feel healthier when Steve's around.
5. He gives great neck rubs.
And this only scratches the surface. Suffice it to say, we are so glad you were born and are part of our family.

Happy Birthday Steve. I love you. I love all of your good food and good advice. I like playing bananagrams with you and going to the beach. I love your garlic aroma too! It always reminds me to eat more garlic. Yum.

I love Steve too. I can't think of someone better to have around. Just when we think we can't endure the Steve withdrawal any more, he shows up. Perfect timing. My garlic taste buds have nearly died because of Steve (meaning I have to put in a whole head before I can even tell it's there), but I am happy to say that they died happily while eating Steve's food.

steve has always made me feel special. he and shelley are the best at making you feel welcome wherever they are. i loved hanging out with them in california, new york, and hawaii. they are always so generous. i still ride the bike he gave me before i left for college. for a long time steve and i were faithful pen pals which always made my day to get a card or postcard from him. we will have to start that up again. happy happy birthday.

loving Steve is so easy. That's what I like about him (shelly too). I liked hanging out with then in NY, I liked hanging out with then in Hawaii but I especially like having them as neighbors every month.
Happy birthday!

We love living close to Steve and Shelly. Half the stuff in our house and in my closet is from the Steve and Shelly collective. Steve is super generous and super fun to have around. Ive still got a standing offer for help to change my heater core, which is a ten or more hour job and involves remembering the order of several dozen things in the car that you have to take out and out back in in exactly the right order. What more do I need to say.

I'm so glad I get to share my birthday with a cool "uncle" like Steve! Thanks for always complimenting me when I'm around at Pam's. It was always fun having you and Shelley around as housemates when I lived there. happy late birthday!
