The Tanos were here

I've been so bad about blogging. It's hard for me to look at a computer screen for more than 15 minutes straight without feeling like I have to vomit. I did have 1 1/2 really good days so I'm thinking that within the next couple of weeks I'll start feeling better. Yuki told me that with her last pregnancy she felt sick all 9 months. If that happens to me I'll have to rely on whoever has health insurance to get me some prozac and I'm not even kidding. It's been hard for me to stay positive when all I feel is sick.

It was really fun to hang out with Baby Hudson last week. He definitely cheered me up. I would love to have a chubby Japanese looking baby, though a Brazilian/American baby will be fine too.

It was so fun having the Tanos over. Ben and Yuki are so easy. They slept on the hammock every single night, they ate whatever we made, they were up to doing whatever. Kay was super sweet and kept me company a lot of the time.

Enzo and Maria loved having Kaylynn, Bryce, and Hudson 24/7. Now every night when Maria says her prayers she says "Thank you for Bryce, the girl, and baby Hudson."

We had a really nice Easter. We had a flat tire on Sunday morning so instead of going to our ward we went to Ben's branch where he served as a missionary. The meeting house is huge and so so so beautiful. There was AC!!! They have a huge gated parking lot. Of couse the only cars there were our rental and Ben's rental. After church we had a picnic right there in the church parking lot and an Easter egg hunt too. The kids were really excited about the egg hunt. I was really excited because Ben and Yuki found pickles in some random supermarket in Ilheus.

There was a sister in the ward who lived in one of the Agrarian Reform communities I had stayed at 9 years ago when I came to Bahia to do an internship. The sister took me to the lady's house that I had stayed at. It was a sweet reunion. I'm really glad I was able to get in touch with her again. It's a neat place full of fruit trees. We came back with bread fruit and a ton of cacau. We are currently trying to make our own chocolate. We're in the process of drying out the cacau seeds.

After going to the community we then drove to one of the more secluded beaches so Kaylynn could get baptized. It was pretty perfect. Kay gave a short talk. Ben was beaming. Yuki recorded the whole thing. Kaylnn looked beautiful in her white clothes. She had 6 layers on and looked really happy to get in the water to cool off. Bryce also got wet and so did Enzo. Christian got totally wet because he was the witness responsible for making sure Ben said the prayer right. It was all really great and so special. We wish Ben and Yuki lived in Bahia instead of Sao Paulo.
