Poll

I was talking to Kaity this week and we were talking about how crazy it is that she, sienna, amy and I are all having babies less than a month apart. We wanted to poll the family (and friends) and see if anyone guesses the sex of all 4 babies.

if you win then you might get a prize or you get the recognition of being cool.

my guess is
Kaity: Girl
Me: Girl
Sienna: boy
Amy: boy

what do you think?

Wouldn't that be fun! And they probably planned this in heaven.

But for the contest I'll say:

Kaity: Girl
Demaris: Boy
Sienna: Boy
Amy: Girl

My mom called me this morning and told me that Amy had a mall ultrasound and knows what she is having!!!! You can probably tell from my guess... A BOY!!

Maybe we should all do that. Although my ultrasound is scheduled for April 6th right now.

Ha!
I told amy I had a dream of her having a baby boy. this was before she even knew or thought she was pregnant. With Enzo I had the same dream over and over again and I knew for sure he was a boy. With this one I have no idea, actually. maybe Enzo is right, maybe I am having a sea horse after all

mine is scheduled for April 7. i told tony we should go to the mall, but he said, "i can wait." so i guess we'll have to wait. that's exciting about amy.

I think Kaity is right, since Amy was here and told us she is having a boy, and Kaity thinks she is too. So, just to be different, Kaity and Sienna are having girls, Amy and Da are having boys.

I kind of want a girl which is why I say I am having a boy.

Luckily, our guesses won't change anything. I'm so excited for everyone.

Ha!
The way things are going lately, I guess boys for everyone. (sorry, if you wanted a girl, since this means you are definitely all having boys. Pam doesn't know what power my guesses have.)

Mariko said...

Oh, and if you do all have boys, no fair using all the boys up. You guys are so selfish. Save some for the rest of us!

yes i am. today was one of the worst days I've had. i couldn't even get out of bed. I feel like my nausea is getting worse and worse.

Damaris @Kitchen Corners said...

mariko,
can you imagine how fun it would be for all of us to have boys. 4 little boys all around the same age. Total fun chaos

Is Amy even far enough along (14 weeks) to know for sure she's having a boy?

Karen said...

Kaity: Girl
Sienna: Boy
Damaris: Boy
Amy: Boy

What are the due dates?

Damaris,
So sorry to hear about your nausea. Some people say that you get sicker when you're pregnant with a girl. I think that may have been the case with me. Unfortunately my nausea lasted throughout each entire pregnancy.
Stocking up on things I could always eat (varied with each pregnancy) helped. Eating small healthy meals/snacks all day (even if I couldn't hold them down) helped, staying hydrated was HUGE for me--if I could keep down 8 glasses of water a day I always felt better. Being dehydrated would put me in bed for days.
I tried eating ginger, drinking ginger ale, and a sea bracelet that helped people with sea sickness (someone suggested it to me)....those things didn't work so well.
Sorry, there is no "magic" pill I know of. Just think about that sweet baby that will join your family soon......
Hang in there!
Love,
Michele

thanks for the advice. I need to be better about water. Drinking water, or juice makes me super nauseous. It's what makes me the most nauseous so i avoid drinking at all cost even though It's probably making things worse. Smoothies I can do but only with soy milk.

Mariko said...

I wasn't really very nauseous with Amaya, but for the time I was, the sea bands helped. Bekah said they helped her too. I tried walking around too, because moving seemed to be better than being in bed, even though it seemed like it should be the opposite.
Da, if you consider not getting your girl baby's ears pierced, I'll change my vote to girl. Ha ha. :)

Damaris @Kitchen Corners said...

are you kidding? the day I find out I'm having a girl the first thing I'm going to do is go out and buy her a pair of tiny earings.

I wear the sea band. It doesn't healp. I walk around campus all day. Maybe it would be worse if I didn't. who knows. I'm just ready to get the energy I did with Enzo when I was in my second trimester.

Da, congrats on making it out of the first trimester! Hope it gets better from here! For me, I didn't feel sick at all the first 3 months, and then during the 4th I had a couple of nausiating moments over the sink. weird! I'm so happy you're baby is doing fine, at least. And pregnancy does go by fast (in the end).
