our 8 week peanut

I had my ultrasound today and all is well. We got to see the little peanut with it's huge head. We also got to see it's heart beating at 154 beats per minute. Enzo loved seeing the baby and then proceeded to have a meltdown about how HE wanted to get back in my tummy. I was not sympathetic and didn't even try to comfort him because come on kid you weigh almost 40lbs!

My due date is September 11th. I'm hoping it'll be born sooner because 9/11 is just not a very festive day and because my insurance ends on 9/18 which means that I have be be out of the hospital, safe and sound and uninsured by 9/18.

By the way if you have a method that works to help nausea let me know and I'll name the baby after you. Enzo wants us to name the baby Jesus but we already ruled that one out

Congratulations, Damaris and Christian and Enzo! We are so happy for you and your peanut... that is so comforting. We had a super bowl get-together last night with our friends; the mom is from Brazil, and we had Brazilian hotdogs, among very many other things. She reminds me of you. Take care!

You are so lucky!!! That is so exciting to have an ultrasound and hear the heartbeat. The only thing I've found to help the nausea is exercise. It is weird and I'm not sure it makes sense, but...whatever works. Congratulations!

kaity how do you do it? All I want to do is sleep. I can not even get myself to do my homework. I'm not a very motivated pregnant person.

when is your appointment? we should all have pour babies on 9/9/09

Congratualtions! What happy news!

Sniff fresh cut citrus fruit. That's the only thing that worked for my pregnancy with Matthew.

Nothing worked with Caleb. But even when I couldn't keep water down, I could keep salsa down. Weird, huh?

My sis says that sucking on her favorite candy worked. Didn't do much for me.

Hope one these helps!

Love,
Rebekah

re the nausea..i hadn't thought about it, but exercise worked for me too! I didn't know I was pregnant with Monet and I was hitting the gym daily, mostly running about 3 miles on the treadmill. I thought I had just gained weight and was trying to lose it..turns out it was Monet.

o.k o.k I'll start going back to the gym (after I try every other option)

for bekah those seasickness bands worked pretty well. just an elastic band that goes around your wrist and puts pressure on a pressure point. just search "sea sickness wristband" on amazon, but any health food/drug store might carry them as well.

Yay, Da! I'm so happy for you, and that you got to see your little peanut baby and its heartbeat. It's so cool that so many of us will be giving birth one after another. I can't believe what a close call it is going to be with your insurance, though! Whew! Keep us posted.
