8 is GREAT!

Here's to Miriam who celebrates 8 great years with us! She has put up with a lot in her short life. We've dragged her to Asia three separate times, moved her from an island to the continent to the other side of the continent. I'm not sure how many different houses she has lived in (but I think its 7). And through it all, she is kind, generous, and loving. (She got two zhou zhou pets for her birthday and immediately gave one to Gwyn.) We didn't know it at first, but she is a miracle (parents can be slow). We love you Mimsy! Thanks for letting us be your family!

FHE

 

The other night at Family Home Evening we discovered that Lilikoi could sit up by herself for a few seconds. She liked to pretend she was playing "Hungry, Hungry, Hippos" with the group, but really she just wanted to taste those marbles. It is going to be scary when she starts crawling with all the legos etc. we have around this house.

Happy 10th Birthday Jake

Jake loves to play basketball especially because his dad is the coach!

Jakob tied and sewed his own quilt. He is quite talented!

Jakob found a large icesicle when we were in Tahoe last November. We just love Jake for he is loyal, kind and funny and so much more!

Celebrating Sen!

Happy Birthday to lovely Yesenia! I think I miss her as much as anyone. I hope she knows she is loved and remembered, especially today.

rice cereal

i was hesitant to start him on cereal, but he refused to take a bottle on the days I go to school, so we tried it and he LOVES it. it is just something new and fun. and the spoon feels good on his gums. he got that bib as a gift, i swear i didn't buy it.

We went to the temple today to be with the third member of our successful 20 year marriage....The Godhead and give thanks for them. We are grateful for an eternal marriage and the blessings associated. Thanks to all who support our marriage and our family.

tahoe

We went up to Tahoe for MLKJDay. The last time I was there I tried to snowboard and got owned pretty bad. So this time, I decided to spend time just being there. We did some fun things like sledding, hiking, and ice skating. I appreciated the snow. It was soothing and beautiful. I like leaving campus because it helps me to remember that there are real people out there that live and do real things besides school (like shovel snow and live in mansion/cabins on the lake shore). It probably seems weird to need that, but I definitely get caught up in the bubble of going to class and coming back and studying in my room all night. Anyway, here are some shots from the weekend. I loved it.

Chris and Bryon played snowboarding  while Liz and I played doll. Maria Aurea is squishy but Sienna Rose is the squishiest baby ever.

I wanted to munch on her cheeks the whole time I was there.
