For Mariko

This is to show Mariko that the paper she got me in Japan was put to good use. I resisted the temptation to make cards and actually made something useful. the only problem is that it might be a fire hazard.

Omniture Carnival

Last night, we went to Tony's work party at Thanksgiving Point. It was a big carnival with games, rides, food, and most importantly face painting. Ada was super excited to be a cat and Alex and Tony decided to be members of Kiss. They also had their traditional jan ken po competition (which they call "rock, paper, scissors" here and also you have to yell out "om-ni-ture"). I made it to the final few rounds (which takes honesty, since they just have you sit down if you loose). I lost to a little girl, but still walked away with a $100 gift card to Boondocks (which is a place with mini-golf and go-carts). But the little girl went on to win a $5,000 travel voucher for anywhere in the world. So yeah, she was lucky. Enjoy the pics.

Rock Climbing Pinnacles National Monument

Enzo got his own harness this week! He's taking his new role very seriously.

Hiking with Enzo

Enzo has decided that he likes the baby backpack again so I've been trying to go on some more hikes with him. Today we went to cave gulch near our house and walked along the stream to connect a few different trails. Its nice to have a little nature so close to where we live.I found a little swimming hole and it was a good day. I still haven't figured out how to to take pictures of waterfalls when its sunny through the trees resulting in really white spots a really dark ones.

Both yesterday and today Enzo woke up early (5:30ish). He gets up right after Chris leaves to go surfing. I don't know if he can hear his dad or if he's just psychic. He gets up goes downstairs and tries to leave the house. He then proceeds to scream for 45 minutes saying that he wants to go surfing too. Today he went back to sleep and luckily only woke up when Christian was back from his session. Christian could tell by my face that the incident had happened again and I got to go back to sleep till 10:00am for my sake and Christian's sake!

How can I get Enzo to want to be less like his dad and more like me? Maybe the real question is, how can I get myself to be cooler than Christian?
