oak creek luxury apartments

I live off campus now at a place called Oak Creek. It has white carpet, neon (and by that i mean florescent) lights, white walls, white everything. It is pretty big and I have my own room, which is nice. Apparently they are "luxury apartments" (they even have tennis courts! if only I could figure out how to play) so I guess that makes it better that I have to bike for 20 minutes to get to class whereas I used to only have to bike 5. And I'm talking biking at top speed here, so when I get to class my eyes are watering and I'm heaving for at least 10 minutes as I walk conspicuously past everyone in class to the only empty seat in the back row. I'm missing Madrid big time right now. Well, not in the freezing state that I left it, but most everything else (the light work load for sure). On the first day of class I realized that my bike tires were flat as pancakes after leaving the apartment, and since I got in too late to check in I didn't have a key and couldn't go put it back in the apartment, so I walked my flat tired bike 40 minutes to get to class. Late, of course. As that one sassy guy cheerleading coach said on that mTv show I once watched, I cried myself a river, built myself a bridge, and then got over it. And then I had dramas biking up this huge hill to the secret Safeway and almost fainted when I got there. Two bad bike experiences my first week. I'm counting on a minor accident by Monday. But Steve and Shelley are coming this weekend to bring me some kitchen supplies so I'm super excited! Anywho, since I'm missing Madrid, I thought I would post a few photos that I took my last week there so you can miss it with me.

i like the sound of luxury. you should really learn to play tennis, i want to learn too. it seems so fun and luxurious. i hate hills, they take all the fun out of biking. oh yeah and flat tires. my bike is the queen of the mysterious flat tire. it's flat right now even. good luck. i have gotten really good at changing my tires, so that's something to look forward too.

i can so relate to the bike stories. the tire i had to pump up before i left and before i came home (i'm so bike repair retarded). hang in there. bikes are the most efficient transportation known to man (if there's no flat tire.) missing you.

Love the pictures and have loved hearing about your time abroad. Love that you live in luxury. I've lived in student housing my whole marriage. Only industrial carpet for me.
We had to play tennis in my p.e. class, so we played 2 courts, 8 people. Totally fun. It didn't matter if you couldn't hit it straight, just hard enough to get it over. And accuracy was not an issue. You guys have to try it out.
