S4L (Sistas 4 Lyphe)

This past week has definitely been a humbling experience for me. For most of you who don't know, Jasmine was super sick and lost a whopping 15 lbs! She had the major flu, had a high fever and then got canker sores, and then her wisdom teeth were breaking in, making her completely miserable. I was glad that I've been home so that I could help take care of her. Karen has been a great help, too, and I don't know what we would have done without her.

To cheer up Jas, we decided to have her join us for dinner for our friend Daniel's birthday at Joe's Crab Shack in Old Sacramento. It was super fun and it helped Jas forget how much pain she was in! I'm glad to have a sister to bring along with me and show her off to my friends. They all love her and always want her around because she contributes to our group! Here are some pictures of our night!

Here is a sister shot!

The girls!

Our group + the guys!

If some of you guys come to visit Mimi and Karen, we should all go to Joe's for dinner!

I'm so glad she's better! Also glad you've been there to help. Karen said you've been a second mom. (That was before my (Amy's) phone died.) I'm coming to Sacto on the 12th but will only be there four days. Wish it were longer. Wish school didn't start for us July 24th. (Sick and wrong.)

You are such a great big sister and nurse. It did my heart good to be a small part of Jasmine's recovery. I am glad she is better! Happy Fourth of July, in case I don't see you and your family today. Call me if you read this. Love you more that pomegranate jamba juice.
