Karen has been a sister to me and also an extra mom that I desperately needed all along the way, her head massages melt me, her piano playing transcend me and her diligence to her family mesmerize me, how lucky we are to have Karen in our family. HAPPY BIRTHDAY KAREN!

You two look beautiful in that last picture. I love Karen, I was remembering one of her birthdays a couple of nights ago and in the birthday circle, or whatever it is, I said she was transcendental... I don't know if that works, but I think i would use it again if I could. I miss hearing her play the piano and talking to her. Karen is hilarious.

we are beyond lucky to have karen in our family—we are blessed. she has always made me feel loved and appreciated and taken care of. i love her spirit and warmth. i so wish i could be there and give her a big hug on her birthday. happy birthday karen. we love you.
karen and i met for the first time at grandpa's funeral. she was overwhelmed AND she still made time to get to know me. she is amazing. i love her so much.

Karen has always been like a second mom to us, and that has been a major blessing. I have so many fond memories with Karen, and I am grateful that we have her. When we first moved to California in November of 1997, Andy had picked us up from the airport and took us to grandpa and grandma's house. Karen was so sweet and accommodating that for some reason I thought she was Charlene. When I tell Karen that she always laughs.
I love Karen so much and I honestly know that my life would be absolutely insane without her in it.
