1- is the new sidebar with the snippets of blogs with photos annoying or helpful?
2- would you rather see the list of blogs in alphabetical order or by most recent post?
3- I've been talking to Pam about Christmas and presents. Should we draw names? Should we not worry about it? Should we give presents to those we spend Christmas with? Should we not do presents?
I was thinking that we could do a secret "Palmer and Friends" Santa. Which means that anyone Palmer or not can participate. Let me know if you think this is fun and I can make a list of people who want to participate and we can draw names.
PLEASE leave a comment even if you are fine or don't really care about either one of my questions. You can even leave a an "I don't care" comment. That way I'll have an idea of what people are thinking.
Thanks

I have to say I use the sidebar and it is helpful to see ahead of time if I have read the most recent post or not. As far as Christmas, I am neutral. I would be happy to be a secret santa to someone.
i like the sidebar for the same reason as karen. i think we should do gifts rather than not. what about the idea i emailed? maybe two drawings--one for the people who will be together and one for the people who will be together to give to the people who will be other places (and which could be sent together).

1) I like the sidebar.
2) I like the Palmer and Friends exchange idea.
I like the sidebar with picts. I'd put in order of most recent post rather than alphabetical. I think I'd rather just give presents to those we're going to see, but drawing names is good too. Maybe both.
p.s. I'm with Jesse having the sidebar in order of most recent post.
da, me again. i actually find the little photos (on the sidebar) distracting. they kind of compete with what is posted on the blog. maybe its just me. i love what you do. you are my blogging mentor, in case you didn't know.
we all know you do the lion's share of keeping the blog going, and i think i can speak for everyone who reads that we appreciate it. i suspect that people who never comment still like to know what's going on.
thanks. i took the pictures down.
yeah, i like it without the pics. i don't know about christmas. we should try to think of something festive but not stressful. i am not sure what. i don't think it has to be presents necessarily.
Just got the memo that we're the only P. and M. Palmer kids not showing up for Christmas in Hawaii. Hmm. looks like we left ourselves out this year. But w/ j, b, and m all in school, and j's dumb conference right after christmas, not going to happen. So...presents. That can be fun or super stressful. drawing names is fun. soon though. I have school until dec 21. doesn't leave a lot of time at the end for shopping and shipping. xoxo bekah
My sister in law's family does a drawing and you draw one other person and make them something handmade. They get pretty in to it, but that could be fun. And meaningful. And we have a pretty talented bunch here.
hand made sounds fun or maybe a garage sale/swap meet find.
I love the sidebar. it means i only need to have one blog bookmark. bekah, we won't be in hawaii for christmas either, but robbie is planning to come down early december! and melinda's parents are coming for christmas! If there's a drawing, we'd love to be a part of it.
