Happy Birthday! It's great that you were born and that you are so talented. It was fun to hang out although it was short. You are definitely doing something right, because Amaya is amazing.
We just came back from Brazil. It was an event all around carrying our carry on that had a pot you gave us when we got married, took to Brazil, and finally brought it back to reside in our home. It was a challenge bringing it back in one piece but worth the sacrifice. I love your art. I am possessive of my blue mug it's my favorite dish. I think you are wonderfully talented. I also think you are a wonderful friend. Thanks for being such a great listener. I already respected you for being such a good friend to Christian but I'm glad our own friendship has developed and I can also confide in you. Happy birthday!
Happy birthday,
I've got a million good memories of hanging out with Jake, about half of those involve surfing, but Wailele runs, raw turkeys, pit fires on the beach, point jumping, summit mud, good movies, and beach sumo make up the rest of them. You're an awesome friend and we miss hanging out with you guys and are always looking for a way back to Hawaii.
happy 31st. many happy returns of the day. once i told my chinese students that americans never said that, then that evening I heard someone say it. hope this year turns out to be a good one. like maybe the one where you win the lottery and we start our alternative academy. or at least you get some really good pupas. it was fun hanging out last summer. don't know when we'll in Hawaii next. we have a decent collection of jake jackson stuff that always makes our tiny apartments less ghetto. when I am an unemployed phD in a few years we can go in on some get rich quick schemes. speaking of summit mud, I still remember that night you watched a snail traverse our entire tent roof from one end to the other. that was an awesome hike. I also remember the sunrise out over kaneohe and waikane. good stuff. i need some of that right now. many happy returns of all that and more.
