Baby #2

No I am not pregnant but I thought I was.
Our friend Victoria had her baby so Chris and I watched her son from Thursday until Tuesday. Since Avi and Enzo are the same age we experienced the joy of having twins for a couple of days. It was actually pretty fun except when it wasn't and then I was convinced that we should never have twins.

Enzo started getting a fever on Monday night. It was up to 103 for most of the night. On Tuesday Christian took him to the doctor. After 6 hours waiting and waiting the doctor decided that Enzo had an ear infection. In the mean time Christian had to figure out a way to get a urine sample from Enzo among other things like making sure Enzo behaved in the doctor's office because the receptionists there are REALLY grumpy.

By Tuesday I realized that my period was late. Since I am very regular and have only been late when I was pregnant with Enzo I started freaking out. I took a pregnancy test and it was negative.

By Friday I still had no period and Enzo was still having fevers and NOT acting any better at all. I did another pregnancy test and again it was negative. So last night (still no period) I decided to do some research. My options for not getting my period and not being pregnant were,
a) anorexia (ruled that one out right away as I munched on my brie, dried tomato, olive, sandwich. I love food way to much and don't feel like I need to loose any weight)
b) premature menopause (yikes, I really hoped that wasn't the case)
c) stress (do you think?)

So today after taking a nap (we've been getting NO sleep with Enzo being sick) I got my period. HOORAY!

Now the only problem is that Enzo is still not doing well. He still had a fever up until yesterday and his gums have been super swollen and his mouth will start bleeding for no reason! He obviously doesn't want to eat anything and has majorly lost some of his delicious baby fat. I am worried about him. I think he might be having an allergic reaction to the antibiotic. Tomorrow I'm taking him back to the doctor. Have you guys ever heard of this happening?

I really hope this next week is better.

Cute by association

You can see where Zeke gets his cutes (he's obviously got my squinty eyes). What I wish I had a picture of is me riding to school in my dry duck rain suit (compliments of Jesse). On my way to school it started pouring and when I got to school my clothes underneath were d-r-y. (Who's laughing now?) We had had crazy wild rain the day before (and power outage/snow day break from school) for twenty four hours. I rode to school that day to get my papers and they wouldn't let me in so I was forced to play all day with Adam and the kids. Adam (good at fun) spearheaded a beach barbeque with chicken breast and everything else we had in the fridge kabobs. The beach was lovely (Kekela), the water clear (though Pounders was brown. We had fun all day without electricity. Have you ever played ping pong baseball? Even people's cell phones began losing power. Sweet.

Christmas Party

Here are some pictures from Tony's work Christmas party. It was at the Grand America Hotel in Salt Lake. It was really snowny driving up there, so we were very glad that we made it safely. They had a fancy dinner and a band and dancing. They also gave away prizes and stuff, but we didn't win anything. Although everyone went home with a gift basket. Tony's work rented him the tuxedo and I borrowed the dress from Lindsay. Tony got a lot of good compliments on his beard, so hopefully he will keep it for a little longer.

Let's Keeping Special Days

We had so much fun in Hawaii. We were not ready to leave. I was just wishing I could keeping those special days. I just downloaded these pictures and Gio noticed that they were taken at Pammy's house. He said, "Gio wants to go to Pammy's house." I said, "It's far away. We have to drive to the airport, go on the airplane and then drive home from the airport." A few minutes later Gio said, "Gio wants to go the the airport." These are just a few. It is 9:35 and Gio is still up. I need to go put him to bed. More later. I believe he is wearing Enzo's Engrish shirt.

Christmas cards

I have Christmas cards to send to everyone with a not so good pic of our family. However, my agenda is MIA so I need everyones address except for the Naniloa crew (I have that one memorized)

I'll post some more of our weekend adventure soon.

new york, new york

I figured it's been awhile since I posted. Here are some cute pictures from New York. The kids had fun seeing the balloons at the Macy's Thanksgiving Day parade. Ada is pointing and yelling "Pikachu." There is Tony with Lady Liberty. It was pretty cold on the top of that ferry with a really long line to get on. One of those days when you are really happy to finally reach Ellis Island. I am sure they do it to help you sympathize with the immigrants. There is cute Mariko. She was a great tour guide; she took us to a cool improv comedy show and we enjoyed the MoMA together. It was cold, so you can see everyone bundled up. Tenney is cute sleeping in his stroller while his siblings played at the park. The park in the cold is a much different experience.

The Door is Open

Aloha from us to you. You will or course recognize each activity--same soup, different cannibal, same Indian headress, different Indian. Same tie dyes, different hippie baby. Zeke looks especially handsome in the tie dye Bekah (or was it Miriam) made. Since Kaity was officially staying at Becky's house, she never brought over her stuff, so Zeke got to wear all the tie dyes from the summer. He looked handsome in each, but this looked especially stunning. He also looks fetching in a towel in the arms of his cousin/aunt. Scott's contribution to Thanksgiving (roasted squash) was my favorite side dish. Mikey did a great tie dye job on Adam's socks (too bad Adam hardly ever wears socks). I'd like to show you more but the computer is tired (of mopping) and refuses to go there. If I did you'd see that Tailee is the kid maester and that Kaity and Danny had fun. You'd also see that Kaity is back to her prepregnant size (she can't help it). We're sad that more of you aren't coming to Hawaii for bucket baths, tie dye, and hammock swinging, but are happy that Noelle will be back. (Seriously, Noelle, have you ever even tried a bucket bath?) Love you all more than persimmon cookies.) Also, we're looking forward to Mimi and Natalie and David's visit (bring white t-shirts).
