Surf the other day...
I shot these of Robby a couple days ago. There was a swell. It was too big for me, but these pictures kind of make it look small....

Mission Call!
Just wanted to officially announce that I got my mission call! I will be serving in the Australia Sydney South Mission!! (English speaking) I report November 24. I am so excited! Truman won the guessing contest with the closest geographical guess...he thought Guam. But earlier in the day he had me close my eyes and spin the globe and he said wherever my finger landed would be the place I would go...and my finger landed on Australia! haha. :)

Lilikoi is so cute even when baby Maria attacks her.
They feed each other cheerios and other tasty treats that they find on the floor. They're super cute together.
I want to be just like Kaity when I grow up. Her good attitude is to die for. And then when I grow up even more I want to be just like Pammy. She carries baby Maria and Lilikoi around as if it's the most natural thing ever, no work at all. She really must of loved having twins. I'm so glad my kids have her as their Grammy.

I'm coming to Hawaii!
Hey all. Turns out I'm going to be coming in a week for my Oshima Family reunion on Maui so I'll be in Laie for 4 days. That's not much time and, of course, I'll be spending a lot of it with my mom......but I'd really like to see everyone at least a couple of times. So free up your schedules cause I'm looking forward to hanging out, being a beach bum, playing nertz and ultimate and eating me some mangoes. See you all in a week.

Family Photos
Charlie and his buddy Sean took these family photos of us! We are all so lucky to have talented photographers in our families! The last one is a new one that I took of baby Sienna last week in our living room. Who does she look like? I love to hear what people think. By the way, she is even sweeter than she looks:)
Love, Liz

Hey stop it!
So Austin had Bo cracking up one day when I came home saying "hey, stop it" as they played with Bo's toy duck. It still makes him laugh.

Congrats Noelle
Going to Noelle's graduation was awesome. What an incredible achievement. Here is a little video of the moment when she received her diploma. The person reading off the names said a little blurb about every student. It was a little intimidating just to hear all the awards, languages spoken, scholarships, jobs lined up that the Stanford class of 2010 has lined up. Noelle's blurb was the best. I think she's going to be such a great missionary.
Here are some pictures from the day.

Austin acts like Noelle's agent. He's pure gold. I wish he was my brother.

more help
Thanks for everyone who did the last survey I put up here even though the questions were really weird. I need to ask for your help again, this one is shorter and the questions are not as random (or about me).

Fierce.
I had a mini photo shoot with my friend, Marianna, and our theme was "Fierce"
It was SO MUCH FUN!
These are just a few, I will post some more later. Tell me what you think! Eeee!
BTW: This was my first time doing something like this so I am definitely not skilled. :)

I Miss...
I miss Pammy and Sariah... I also miss every single one of you. The roomies are fun but they aren't you guys, especially when we take pictures like these:
I can't wait to be back in Sacramento and hanging out at grandma's. The Spring's are still here, which is awesome. All I have to do is ride my fat muli over there and hang out. Good thing the NBA Playoffs are on. GO CELTICS!

Palmer Camp: Provisions
We were just chatting with Kaity and Danny about camp logistics and Kaity suggested that we make a blog post. So this is the first of several installments, followed by activities, gear, and . . . So, how do we want to organize the food? Here are some options, please vote on your favorite, or suggest your own.
Plan A: Each family/tribe does their own breakfast and lunch. Each family (or two) prepares one dinner for the group.
Plan B: Every family for themselves.
Plan C: Each family takes one day and does all of the food for that day.
Plan D: Christian cooks and cleans for everyone for the whole week.
Plan E: . . .
When I say cooks, you don't have to do everything by yourself. You can get help preparing cooking, or make something people cook on their own, but you just have to get all the ingredients and organize it. Also, you just have to make one thing that is available for anyone who wants it. If someone wants to make something else, or their kids want to eat something else, that's fine, but you're on your own. So in the next 3 days or so comment on your ranking of the options or say that you don't care and waive your right to decide, then we'll make another post with the final decision and you can sign up for days, if necessary. If someone wants to be in charge of coordinating food, please volunteer. Next post will be about what activities, so start thinking. After that will be about what gear you might need/want to borrow, or can lend. So here's my vote.

Qualifying Exams
I passed my qualifying exams this morning. I'm officially ABD, all but dissertation (too bad the dissertation will probably take another three years). Damaris came to support, plus I figure she has to know what my project is about so she can help me get the data. My committee was happy with the statements I turned in, happy with my answers to their questions, and they said lots of nice things which was gratifying. Now all I have to do is get some money to go do fieldwork...

The papers are in!
My mission papers are in!! Finally! They were supposed to be in a while ago, but there were a few setbacks, but now they are officially done. Even though it's been on facebook for a while, here's my official mission pic that the Brethren will see when they assign my call:
It's been a long process getting the paperwork completed and I feel like been tried and challenged every step of the way - but my testimony is stronger and I am so happy and excited to find out where I'll be going!
