sling time
Enzo and Christian spent the morning washing baby clothes and other baby gear. We're getting excited about our new baby. Our old baby now weighs 40 lbs and decided he needed some sling time with Christian before passing it along to Maria Aurea.

Friends
I'm not really sure what the whole open mouth thing is about but apparently Enzo and Amaya think it's the most hilarious thing ever.

Kopy Kaity Kat
This is me second time around tring to figure out this blog thing. Adam was helping me this morning and as you can imagine he was appropriately exasperated my ineptitude. (How did someone as intellectually lazy as me have such smart kids? Must be Mike's doing. Anyway, I selected a bunch of pictures but they only let me post four, and I didn't have time to comment. Adam thinks comments are unnecessary, and maybe with his pictures they are. Anyway, mostly you know but don't you love Enoch and Amy's little house in the middle of the woods? Also, is Tenney delectable enough? As you can see from this breakfast picture, he likes his cereal (and comes by the infatuation honestly). I copied Kaity's tie dye quilt for Minerva Ray. Ada and Tenney are merely warming it up for her. The kids tie dyed too. Notice Ada's fabulous shorts.

Kadin Scott Mikolyski
He was born July 15, 2009 at 5:26 p.m. at Castle Medical Center in Kailua. Kadin was 6 pounds 11.5 ounces and 19 and 1/2 inches long.
Here's Scott and his new baby boy--couldn't be happier! We've been floating pretty much ever since my contractions started and we knew he was coming soon! (They started around midnight on Tuesday night.) We had 5 long days after his due date to wait for him, but looking back it doesn't seem long at all. Everything about labor went smoothly and Scott was the best birthing partner a woman could ask for.
At first, everything seemed like a dream when he was born (we were so exhausted by that point). I heard people around me and heard myself talking, but it didn't feel like I was really there! So strange, but so amazing as well. We love our little boy. Bringing him home was so fun, and the three of us just spend each day getting to know each other.
Thanks, everyone, for your thoughts and prayers for us throughout the pregnancy! We love you. And we love Kadin!

visitors
These pictures are rather unflattering. My favorite is Rebekah's butt shot. Anyway, Santa Cruz has been HOT and we are getting a lot of beach time. There are 11 kids and 5 adults, a bit out numbered but no one has drowned yet so all is well. We love having all these visitors. I don't want them to leave! Good thing Mariko and Amaya are coming next week to keep us company.

temples in utah
Look at what cuties came to our house for Sunday dinner (all the way from Samoa). We were happy that we got to be a small stop in the Temple's summer trip, especially since none of them had met Tony before. It was fun to meet Owen as well. Isaac and Ella put up with our complete lack of toys--being creative with an ukulele, some cars from the Cheerios box and a yoga ball.
Also, I am totally lazy when it comes to taking pictures, Tony took all of these.
