Feliz Cumpleaños YESENIA
Happy birthday to my beautiful, kind, fun, sassy, loving, hilarious, smart, amazing cousin/ practically sister. Yesenia does so much for all of us, she is always so willing to give of herself and her talents. She works hard, and is good at what she does. She gives good, honest, straight forward advice. She'll tell you when you look like crap, which, honestly, is something we all need every once in a while. She helps me practice my spanish. She comforts me when I am scared or stressed. Te quiero, Yesenia. Espero que tuvieras un dÃa fenomenal!

the tony show.
i should post these now, or else I will forget and never do it. we spent all day in salt lake at one of tony's friend's weddings. he is a brasilian that tony served with on his mission. tony was a very cute groomsman, as you will see. he looked very fancy in his tux. fancier than he did at at our wedding. i didn't know very many people there, so i spent most of the time playing with my new camera. i love you all and always love reading everyone's posts. i hope you enjoy the pics. Sorry Adam, I didn't shoot these raw, I haven't figured out a good way to batch them all in photoshops into jpgs for easy uploading to the blog and flickr. I will figure it out soon. also i dont know why they are the wrong way. i can't fix it.

SNOW in SUNDANCE with SIENNA
My classmates and I on our way to Utah
I had a great weekend in Utah. I not only got to watch lots of cool movies, play in the snow and go to a the Dead Presidents concert, but I also got to see Sienna and Tony. Their Studio is very cute. it's way bigger than I thought and very well decorated. I loved sleeping over, hanging out, going to church and having biscuits and gravy for the first time (Dittmer style). I'm so glad Sienna married Tony. He's one of the nicest, coolest guy I have ever met. My friends LOVED him 'cuz he's super social and funny. I hope to hang out with them again soon maybe even in Brazil.
Lots of celebrity spotting. I don't know anyone so I wasn't that excited. I did miss partying with Paris Hilton the night my friends went out and I surprised my college roommate Buffy. I don't believe in Paris Hilton, though, so I didn't care. I was a little bummed that my friend heather (one with the camera) met the guy who made Super Size Me. He has a new movie called "Where is Osama Bin Laden?"
It was cold and beautiful!
Monique!!!! She was awesome she let all 8 of us crash at her house for 2 nights.
No it's not Travis, it's just his clone. His mom rented her condo out to us the last 2 nights and Sienna,Tony, and I had dinner with her and her son Calder and his wife Star. Hilma is extremely nice. Now I know where Travis gets it from.
Santa Cruz
Here are a few pictures from Bernarr and Musi's house. Musi gave the boys these cool Batik shirts that her friend made. We had so much fun with Chris and Da. I wish that we weren't on our way home with a car full of crap, but what can you do? We got there just as the birthday party was ending (talk about lame), but then we were able to spend the next day together. Danny and Chris went surfing once. I was too wimpy to get in the freezing cold water. I can't even handle Santa Barbara which is much warmer. Gio and Enzo had fun playing this insturment of Musi's. We got to see Shelley and Steve and Flor, Harmon and Cedar. We ate some yummy burritos. Not pictured here, Zeke loved their hammock. We need to get ours from Hawaii. It was amazing how fast he would fall asleep in that thing. I want to visit Santa Cruz again soon.

Palmers at Yosemite 2008
I was talking to mom and I had an idea that as many of us as possible should get together and spend some time together in Yosemite. Mom finishes school on the 9th of June and the UC quarter ends on the 12th, so sometime soon after that we should all get together and camp out, hike, climb, etc in the Sierras. Of course everyone is invited to spend sometime in Santa Cruz as well, surfing, hiking and doing some of the other fun things around here. Leave some comments, suggestions and let me know what you think.

Breaking the Ice
Hi everyone. We are finally home. Well, we have been home for a week and a half now. I am just lame and I haven't posted anything in forever. I've been spending all of my time trying to take care of the children and there is really no time for anything else. I don't even clean the house or do the dishes anymore. Everytime I try to wash a dish Gio says, "Mommy hold Gio." He's saying "hold Gio, hold Gio, hold Gio Mommy" right now as I type. No rest for the wicked. Anyway, these are a few of the thousand pictures from Christmas. Gio was nice enough to give Zeke a ride on his quad for the picture. They are pretty cute.

Snow
not that anyone is jealous, with your oceans, surf, sun, etc. We woke up to several more inches of snow this morning so I put on my rainboots and puffy coat and took some shots. It was quite beautiful. It was up to my knees in places that had been untouched and it started snowing some more on my way home. The red brick is the Provo Tabernacle.
I should have taken a picture of a few hours later when my neighbor and I got her Jeep (without 4-wheel drive) stuck in a parking lot. We realized there is a big difference between men and women when, after quite a while of our pushing, pulling and engineering traction under each wheel, a guy stopped and pushed us out in seconds. We felt a little silly, but mostly grateful.

steamer lane
I tried out my birthday present at Steamer Lane today. I got a 6'1", 19 1/2 and 2 3/8 surfboard from Buck Noe, a local shapers who's pretty well known around here. It was a board he had ridden for an little while. Thanks to everyone that contributed to the surfboard fund. I had a little extra left over so I'm sending Jesse a wetsuit, hood, and booties so you don't have to feel bad if you didn't send anything to him in Japan. The board has a pretty big concave in the tail which is different from most boards I've ridden. So far I like it a lot, very loose without being squirrely. The winds finally calmed down so I had a nice afternoon session at Steamer Lane. The darker it got the more the tide dropped so there were some fun, fast waves coming in. Damaris took some pictures so I've include a few of those. I want to get some video but first I need to learn how to surf better and Enzo needs to learn not to go through the guard rail or learn to swim.
